Wherein lie the difference between TESOL and TEFL?
The terms virtually mean the same. In America and with large state
sector colleges in Britain (e.g. the Institute of Education in
London) the term TESOL is more common; while TEFL is more frequently
used in U.K. Language Schools and in the U.K. press. However there
exists a minor technical difference - TESOL admits all learners
whose first language is not English, including ethnic minorities

I speak English perfectly well. Do I still need a certificate to
get a TEFL Job?

environment under guidance of a trained, qualified teacher.
• A supervisory body could be a university or an examining board

rely on certificates that fulfill or exceed these three criteria.
Courses that fail to satisfy these criteria will not be approved as
certified.
